The University of St. La Salle (USLS), a non-stock and non-profit corporation, was established in 1952 by three American Brothers under the Philippine Province of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, an international institute of religious Brothers dedicated to human and Christian education of the young, especially the poor. Known for its academic excellence, research dynamism, and active community service, the university has produced leaders in the field of business and industry, arts and culture, sports and education, various professions and public service. USLS is currently an associate member of AUN-QA in 2019 and is one of the 12 AIMS member universities recognized by the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines. In January 2020, Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) granted a Level IV Status to BA Communication, BA Interdisciplinary Studies, BA Political Science, BS Biology, BS Accountancy, BS Agribusiness Management, BS Management Accounting, BSBA Business Economics, BSBA Marketing Management, BSBA Operations Management, Elementary Teacher Education, and Secondary Teacher Education programs until November of 2023.
