University of Santo Tomas (UST) is a comprehensive university founded in 1611. It is a private institution of higher education dedicated to teaching, research and extension/community service (service learning) in the formation of competent and compassionate professionals committed to the service of the Church, the Nation and the Global Community. Currently, it has 42,000 students spread across 20 Faculties and Colleges offering 103 Undergraduate, 56 Master’s and 24 Doctoral degree programs in the fields of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, Engineering and IT, Arts and Humanities, Education, Social Sciences, Architecture, Business Studies and Management Sciences. It is a Pontifical University and the Catholic University of the Philippines founded by the Dominican Order of Preachers.
