Established in 1946, the University of Mindanao has become one of the leading institutions in the Philippines championing in the primary thrusts in education, specifically instruction and research. As the largest non-sectarian academic institution in Mindanao, it caters to a total population of 41, 500 in its 10 campuses throughout the region. This number is brought about by many recognitions and accolades the University has attained over the years. In fact, it is currently recognized as the University with the second highest accredited University in the country by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). On top of its soaring results in National Licensure Examinations, it has also sustained to produce topnotchers in various programs including Architecture, Education, Engineering, and Social Work. Furthermore, its research thrust has been evident through innovative research engagements, commissioned research activities, and other related endeavors. All these are the manifestations of the quality education the University provides that is indeed on par internationally.
