(AIMS) Programme

Putrajaya, Malaysia

The 19^th Annual Review Meeting of the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme was successfully held from 4 to 6 November 2025 in Putrajaya, Malaysia, under the theme “Building Stronger Partnerships for the Future of AIMS.”

The Meeting brought together over 200 participants, including representatives from AIMS Member governments, universities, and alumni across the region.

Graciously hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Malaysia and all 10 AIMS Malaysia Member Universities—Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, and Universiti Utara Malaysia, the meeting served as a meaningful platform for collaboration.

In line with its theme, the Meeting strengthened partnerships among AIMS stakeholders and marked a key milestone with the official introduction of the AIMS Strategic Framework (2026–2028), also known as the “Bacolod Strategy: Consolidate and Connect.” This important step celebrates AIMS’s collective achievements and sets the direction for its next phase of development.

Guided by the Da Nang Objectives, participants shared valuable insights and recommendations to shape AIMS’s immediate future directions. The discussions were further enriched through country booth exhibitions, networking sessions, and a memorable Welcome Dinner.

The inclusion of University Social Responsibility (USR) in the programme to Asian Knowledge Corner Raja Tun Uda Library, Groom project Zoo Negara, and River Trail Cleaning Programme at Denai Sugai Langat highlighted the importance of higher education for positive social and environmental change.
