In 1955, the BLAO National College of Agriculture was established at Bao Loc, Lam Dong Province which set the foundations for developing the present-day Nong Lam University (NLU) in Ho Chi Minh City. Throughout its 65 years of history, NLU has been playing an important role in education and disseminating of scientific technologies in Vietnam on its pursuit of academic excellence and commitment to the country’s innovation and creativity. The range of research activities is immense and extends across all faculties and departments. NLU has a strong collaboration with other universities on educational programs and research projects, and enjoys close relationships with universities in ASEAN countries. NLU focuses on the training of internationally qualified professionals and experts in different disciplines to promote creative and friendly education space, strengthening the link between universities/institutes, private entrepreneurs and communities, and orienting research towards the economic improvement and sustainable natural resource conservation of Vietnam.
